KUALA LUMPUR: Hospital admissions in the Klang Valley and Sarawak have increased over the last seven days.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin on his Twitter handle @khairykj said this was among some leading signs for his ministry to note, while attaching a snapshot of the CovidNow 'At a Glance' section.
"Our analysis and surveillance will ramp up," he tweeted.
Based on the data, there was a seven-day average of 1,589 hospital admissions recorded in the country, with a national hospital bed utilisation rate of 67 per cent.
Although this was a decrease in trend over the past seven days, numbers in Klang Valley and Sarawak showed an increase with 412 hospital admissions and 442 admissions respectively.
The seven-day average in new Covid-19 cases stood at 6,550 with a 5.5 per cent positive rate.
The number of deaths in the last 14 days, meanwhile, was 790, with Sarawak recording the highest at 150.
