KOTA BARU: Kelantan Local Government, Health and Housing Committee chairman Dr Izani Husin has tested positive for Covid-19.
According to a press statement issued by his office tonight, Dr Izani is now receiving treatment at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HRPZll), here.
The statement said Dr Izani was sent to the hospital last Tuesday and has been warded there since.
"May Allah grant him healing and ease his affairs," said the statement.
The 59-year-old, who is Kijang assemblyman, was earlier warded at the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU), but now moved to the normal ward.
"He is now in stable condition, but needs to undergo more observation," said a close friend who refused to be named.
Meanwhile, a WhatsApp message which is being circulated among Pas members stated that Dr Izani had tested for stage 4 Covid-19. The message urged the public to continue praying for Dr Izani's speedy recovery.
