SAR continues for missing 14-year-old Dutch diver

MERSING: Search-and-rescue operations to locate another missing diver off Pulau Tokong Sanggol waters are ongoing.

Mersing district police chief Superintendent Cyril Edward Nuing said efforts are ongoing to locate Nathan Renze Chesters, 14, a Dutch national.

Nathan's father, British national Adrian Peter Chesters, 46, and French woman Alexia Alexandra Molina, 18, were found safe by local fishermen at 1am today.

They were found in the southern waters off Pengerang, near the Indonesian border.

"The fisherman then contacted the police, and the two divers were rescued by Region Two Marine Police Force.

"Both of them are currently at a private hospital in Pasir Gudang for further treatment.

"They are in stable condition," he told a press conference at the search and rescue forward operating base at the Mersing District Council public jetty.

On Wednesday, four foreign divers were reported missing during a diving trip.

On Thursday, a Norwegian divemaster, Kristine Grodem, 35, was found safe and was transported to the Mersing Mini Stadium by helicopter at about 12.05pm and then brought to the Mersing Hospital for treatment.
