No more Covid-19 'negative list' come May 15

PUTRAJAYA: All activities under National Security Council (NSC)'s negative list will be dropped starting May 15.

As of April 1, nightclub activities were the only things on the NSC's negative list, and had been so since the first Movement Control Order was enforced in 2020.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the protocol for operations was being prepared by the relevant agencies.

In a press conference today, he also announced that physical distancing would no longer be required as all social and economic activities, which can resume with 100 per cent capacity.

"The requirement for physical distancing in the NSC's standard operating procedures (SOP) dated April 1, 2022, has been reviewed.

"Taking into account that all activities are allowed with full capacity, therefore physical distancing among individuals or groups is no longer required.

"However, physical distancing is encouraged in situations where face masks are not being worn," he added.
