Wan Junaidi confirmed this on his official Facebook page tonight, saying Feona passed away due to internal bleeding at the Borneo Medical Centre in Kuching, about 6pm, today.
Her remains will be brought home to the family's residence tonight. The "solat jenazah" will be conducted tomorrow at 9am
She is expected to be buried at the Samariang Muslim cemetery near Kuching at 10am.
Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg is expected to attend the "solat jenazah".
According to a statement from Wan Junaidi tonight, the couple had wed at the Sarawak House, owned by the late Tun Abdul Rahman Ya'kub, who was also the Feona's "adoptive father", in 1972.
Besides Wan Junaidi, Feona leaves behind three children namely Embok Fariah, 49, Sharifah Nong-Jasima, 38, and Sharifah Nuril Barieyah, 29.
