KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia logged another 2,512 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the cumulative total to 4,514,830 since the pandemic struck in 2020.
According to the Github data portal, 194 infections were imported cases.
Kuala Lumpur and Selangor reported the highest new cases with 796 and 732 infections respectively, followed by Penang with 176; 170 cases in Sabah, 149 in Negri Sembilan, 135 in Perak, 69 in Johor, 55 in Sarawak, 54 in Melaka, 51 in Putrajaya, 38 in Pahang, 37 in Kedah, 20 in Terengganu and 19 in Kelantan.
Perlis and Labuan reported seven and four cases each.
The Covid-19 death toll stands at 35,745, with three new deaths recorded, including two brought-in-dead cases.
The deaths were reported in Melaka and Kuala Lumpur.
Active cases amounted to 28,247, after 1,580 recoveries on Friday.
