Ras Adiba not losing hope over search for missing colleague and friend, Zalina

KUALA LUMPUR: People may find it futile to look for someone who has vanished after so long, but Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi is persevering and not losing hope in tracking down her missing friend and former colleague, Zalina Azman, 58.

Ras Adiba, who has gone to several locations to locate Zalina, who disappeared since November last year, said she would not quit even though her mission had dragged on into the early morning hours.

"Zal, Zal, where are you? Deep (Ras Adiba) is searching for you.

"Some people think it is a crazy idea to search for you after so long. But, I have faith in the Almighty," said Ras Adiba in an Instagram post accompanied by a video of her going from place to place, showing pictures of Zalina to the public.

She also prayed for Zalina's safe return.

She urged those who spotted Zalina to contact her or the nearest police station.

Her former TV3 colleague, Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim, commented on her post: "Kak Zal where are you? Please come back home safely."

Another ex-colleague, Zakiah Anas prayed that she would be found soon.

On Nov 29, 2021, police received a missing person report on Zalina from her son, Mikhael Norman, 33.

He lodged a report after failing to contact her since Nov 24, 2021, to inform her that her father had been admitted to hospital.

Meanwhile, Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said that a woman spotted in two locations at a cafe and lake gardens in Shah Alam was not Zalina.

He said his investigating officers found that a woman, said to resemble Zalina, was a homeless person.

So far, no police report has been made by the public on the disappearance of Zalina.

Iqbal urged those with information to come forward.
