Police seek public's help to locate man who went missing from Shah Alam home

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are seeking the public's help in locating a 40-year-old man, who is suffering from schizophrenia, after he went missing from his brother's home in Shah Alam early this year.

The man, identified as Wan Mohd Hadi Wan Ismail, left the Ukiran Alam Impian home in Section 35 on Jan 26.

Police said Wan Mohd Hadi, who has been receiving treatment at the Kuala Terengganu Hospital, has not returned home since.

Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the man's elder brother lodged a missing person's report on Jan 28 at the Sri Muda police station.

"The elder brother said his sibling brought along some clothes and vanished without a trace," he said.

He urged those with information to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Muhammad Noor Musa at 011-17805996.

A poster with the hashtag #MencariHadi has been circulating on Facebook seeking volunteers to assist in the search this morning.

It stated that their mission to locate Wan Mohd Hadi would start from Jalan Sungai Kandis, where he was last seen.
