Kelantan exco member recovering from accident in Egypt, will return tomorrow

KOTA BARU: Kelantan executive councillor Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, who was involved in an accident in Egypt on Saturday, is expected to return to Malaysia tomorrow.

The state Islamic Development, Propagation, Information and Public Relations Committee chairman said he would arrive in the evening.

"I have a broken shoulder and leg. Praise be to God. I did not suffer serious injuries. I am fine and will continue with my treatment in Kelantan.

"I would like to thank those who prayed for me."

The Meranti assemblyman was travelling in a car with two others from the airport to their homestay when the vehicle crashed head on into another on Saturday morning.

Nassuruddin received outpatient treatment at a hospital.

He was in Egypt with several state leaders, including Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob, for a state event.

The programme began yesterday and will end tomorrow.
