Malaysian students can enter China from Aug 24, says embassy

KUALA LUMPUR: Foreign students holding valid Chinese residence permits for study can enter China from Wednesday, said the Chinese embassy.

The embassy, in a Facebook post today, said it would accept visa applications from Malaysian students who had received long-term education in China.

"The Chinese government attaches high importance to the return of foreign students to China.

"China and Malaysia have been working with each other on the return of Malaysian students to China and have made progress."

The embassy said relevant personnel should pay attention to notices released on the embassy website and related platforms.

Media reports said about 8,000 Malaysians had not been able to return to China due to lockdowns. Bernama
