Good news for civil servants on Aug 30, says PM Ismail Sabri

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said he will announce "good news" for civil servants on Aug 30.

In his speech at the launching of Keluarga Malaysia Simposium: Achievements and Aspirations here today, Ismail Sabri hinted that the announcement is to recognise the contributions civil servants have made to the country.

"The police, the Malaysian Armed Forces, the Fire and Rescue Department, the Welfare Department, the Health Department and those in other agencies continue to show commitment towards carrying out their responsibilities even during times when the country was facing a challenging period.

"The Keluarga Malaysia administration recognises the sacrifices made by civil servants under the leadership of Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.

"Insya-Allah (God Willing), I will announce something cheerful to relieve the spirits of civil servants during the 'Majlis Amanat Perdana Perkhidmatan Awam' scheduled to be held on Aug 30.

"Just wait, I, myself is still thinking about the announcement (the good news to announce on that day)," he said.
