Cabinet to decide whether to make public task force's report on Thomas' allegations

PUTRAJAYA: The cabinet will discuss tomorrow whether to make public the findings by the special task force probing the allegations former attorney-general Tan Sri Tommy Thomas made in his book.

The matter was confirmed by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

He said it was up to the cabinet to decide whether to make the task force's findings public.

"I don't make the decision. I will present it to the cabinet. It is up to the cabinet to decide," he told the New Straits Times.

Asked when the cabinet would discuss the matter, Wan Junaidi said "tomorrow".

He was in Parliament to attend a meeting on Parliament Transformation.

He was asked to comment on the calls by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to make public the report by the special task force investigating the allegations in Thomas' book.

Zahid, in a post on his official Facebook page today, said he feared the task force's findings might be covered up.
