KUALA LUMPUR: Parents will receive tax relief of up to RM3,000 for preschool and kindergarten school fees for the 2024 assessment year.
Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said the tax relief would be applicable for children enrolled in registered preschools and kindergarten.
In tabling the 2023 Budget today, Tengku Zafrul also announced the Inisiatif CahayaMata Keluarga Malaysia one-off aid of RM500.
This aid, he said, would be given to mothers of Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia households who give birth in 2023.
