IPOH: A trailer lorry laden with processed wood overturned at KM265 off the North-South Expressway causing a five-kilometre traffic congestion.
Via Twitter, the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said traffic was reported to be at a standstill before Menora Tunnel to Ipoh (northbound).
Road users are urged to use alternative routes by taking the Kuala Kangsar Exit at KM143 of the North-South Expressway to avoid the congestion.
Debris of the processed wood was seen scattered on the expressway and clean-up efforts and removal of the trailer lorry are still underway.
It is learnt that the lorry driver and his assistant suffered minor injuries during the 8am incident.
