LRT's Kelana Jaya line suffers service disruption

KUALA LUMPUR: The LRT (Light Rail Transit) services for the Kelana Jaya line is still facing disruption between the Kelana Jaya station and the KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Center) station due to problems with the automated drive system.

"Our engineers and technicians are working hard to identify the problem which was first detected at around 8.39pm earlier tonight, and to ensure the safety of passengers and commuters, the operators made the call to halt services between the Ampang Park station and the Kelana Jaya station at around 10.15pm.

"To accommodate passengers and commuters who have been affected by the service disruption, the operator has provided a free bus service for the stations along the affected route, line. Passengers and commuters are advised to use alternative modes of transportation.

"All and any inconvenience caused following the service disruption is regretted and Rapid Rail wishes to apologise to all the affected passengers and commuters," read the statement issued by a spokesperson from Rapid Rail.
