KEPALA BATAS: An elderly man was killed in a fire at his home at Jalan Paya Keladi here late last night.
The identity of the 70-year-old man is not immediately known.
The Bertam fire and rescue station was alerted to the incident before midnight.
Operation officer Syahidan Sahid said when they arrived at the scene, they found the house on fire.
"About 60 per cent of the house was damaged in the fire.
"We found a senior citizen dead inside the house," he said.
Syahidan said the operation was brought under control about 12.19am.
