LAHAD DATU: At least 10 squatter houses at Kampung Puyut, here, were destroyed in a fire this morning.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the department received a distress call at 4.34am.
He said a team of 20 firefighters and the Emergency Services Assistance Unit (EMRS) were deployed to the scene.
"Upon arrival, the team immediately tried to control the blaze from spreading to nearby houses.
"The fire was successfully brought under control at 5.41am," he said in a statement.
According to spokesman, at Press time, no injuries or casualties were reported in this incident.
"There are no victims involved and we will update the latest information from time-to-time," he said.
