GE15: Bride hopes to cast vote after wedding

PENAMPANG: Bride Lauretta Bidi is getting married on polling day, and she is hoping that she will be able to run out of her reception for a while to cast her vote.

The blushing bride is set to vote at Maktab Sabah for the Kota Kinabalu parliamentary seat. Her reception started at about 9am at the St Aloysius Church, which is about 30 minutes away from the polling centre.

The church is located next to Sekolah Kebangsaan St Aloysius.

After that, the family will have reception nearby.

"Of course, I want to vote today but we had made a wedding plan ahead before the announcement of this election.

"If we did not proceed with the wedding today, we don't know when else we can do it," she said, adding they planned it four months ago.
