IPOH: Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah today granted an audience to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Istana Kinta here.
The audience began at 10.50am and lasted about an hour. The car carrying the prime minister was spotted leaving the palace at noon.
The audience with Sultan Nazrin Shah was the first for Anwar, who is Tambun member of parliament, after he was sworn in as the 10th prime minister on Nov 24.
Before returning to Putrajaya, Anwar is expected to go on a walkabout at Tanjung Rambutan market and join congregants for Friday prayers at Muhammad Al Fateh Mosque in Taman Jati. -- Bernama
