Stop discrimination against the disabled, says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will continue to focus on strengthening and empowering the disabled community through comprehensive policies.

In conjunction with International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the disabled community should be allowed to contribute to Malaysia.

"The unity government led by me will continue to focus on strengthening and empowering the disabled through comprehensive policies.

"Despite being tested with physical and mental obstacles, the disabled should be allowed to contribute to various fields, especially in terms of developing the community and the country.

"Discrimination in various fields against the disabled must be stopped. Instead, we must embrace all the efforts available to defend all, especially the disabled," he said in a tweet today.
