GEORGE TOWN: Three pairs of identical twins received their scrolls at Universiti Sains Malaysia's (USM) 60th convocation here today.
The twins are Dhika Marzuki and Dhifa Marzuki, 24; Nuranis Qhaleeda Ahmad Pesal and Nuranis Qhaleezah Ahmad Pesal, 23; and J. Kalaaivahnny and J. Kalaaiveyhny, 23.
Dhika and Dhifa graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Housing, Building and Planning).
Nuranis Qhaleeda, Nuranis Qhaleezah, Kalaaivahnny and Kalaaiveyhny graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting.
After the convocation, Dhifa and Dhika, who are both working as land surveyors in their family's company in Cyberjaya, said they were overjoyed that they graduated from the same course together.
Dhika said since birth, she and her twin sister have never been apart and have always done everything together.
"We grew up together, studied together and even graduated from the same course. The only difference is that my CGPA is 3.45, while Dhifa's is 3.44.
"Now, we are working together. I can't imagine life without my twin beside me."
One thing that sets the twins apart is a mole on their face. They often wear identical clothing, making it difficult for family members and friends to differentiate them.
Nuranis Qhaleeda and Nuranis Qhaleezah, who both aspire to be accountants, said they have similar interests since birth.
They are currently working at EY Penang as tax and audit associates.
Nuranis Qhaleeda said she and her sister owed their success to their parents, lecturers and friends.
"We are grateful for the support from everyone."
Kalaaivahnny and Kalaaiveyhny, who are still looking for jobs, said they enjoyed their university life.
"We did everything together and even share the same circle of friends.
"We usually sit apart from each other so that our friends can tell us apart," said Kalaaivahnny.
The sisters also credited their parents, lecturers and friends for their success.
