KOTA BARU: Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital is postponing elective surgeries until further notice following the flood disaster in Kelantan.
Kelantan Health Department director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin said in a statement today that emergency surgeries would still be conducted.
"We have informed the patients about the postponement of non-emergency operations, as we want to ensure that surgeries at the hospital run smoothly throughout this flood season.
"The hospital will also identify patients who have been assessed and allow them to return home."
Dr Zaini said the hospital also provided two pickup trucks and a lorry to transport staff members who are having difficulties coming to work due to some roads being closed to light vehicles. --Bernama
