Anwar attends closed-door briefing with City Hall

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today attended a closed-door briefing with Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

This was his first visit to City Hall after taking office as prime minister nearly a month ago.

The briefing was held at Menara DBKL 1, and he was welcomed by Mayor Datuk Seri Mahadi Che Ngah, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali and about 100 City Hall staff.

Anwar, who is finance minister, also held a separate meeting with Kuala Lumpur members of parliament.

Among the MPs present were Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani (Titiwangsa), Fahmi Fadzil (Lembah Pantai), Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (Bandar Tun Razak), Hannah Yeoh (Segambut) and Tan Kok Wai (Cheras).

Anwar arrived at City Hall at 9am and left nearly four hours later.
