New magazine portal apakhabartv.com launched

KUALA LUMPUR: A new magazine portal, apakhabartv.com, was launched today, providing news coverage on domestic and international topics.

Abdul Rashid Yusof, spokesman for apakhabartv.com, said the website will also provide outsiders with an opportunity to learn more about Malaysia, its culture, people, and history.

"This isn't your usual news portal that focuses on one issue at a time, but we will deep dive into all issues until the responsible party comes forward with a solution.

"This portal is not just written by journalists, but also by people who have expertise in their respective fields," he told reporters after the launch.

Rashid, who is a former New Straits Times group editor, said members of the public can contribute their views on current affairs and other issues through the portal.

"You are welcome to contribute an opinion piece or write an article regardless of your age so long as the article is comprehensive and can benefit others. We even have a 16-year-old contributor."

Rashid added that the portal is bilingual with articles written in Bahasa Melayu and English, enabling readers to better understand topics that are discussed.
