Driver loses control of car, crashes into kindergarten wall

TANJONG KARANG: Fifteen kindergarten students had a rude shock when a driver of a car lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the kindergarten at Kampung Sungai Burong here today.

The driver and an occupant seated in the front seat, were both injured after the car turned turtle in 8.30am incident.

An eyewitness who did not want to be named said she heard a loud sound and when she went out to investigate, she saw that the driver had crashed his vehicle into the pre-school wall.

"There were about 15 young children inside the kindergarten at the time and fortunately no one was injured," she said.

She said passers-by helped to get the driver out of the car while the passenger was taken out by firemen who rushed to the scene.

Selangor fire and rescue department director Datuk Norazam Khamis said the department received a distress call at 8.36am before four firemen from the Tanjong Karang station were rushed to the scene.

"The firemen helped retrieve the stuck passenger and surrendered the person to the medical officer who was present with an ambulance at the scene," he said.
