Fast food restaurant ordered closed after rat found on drive-thru counter

SHAH ALAM: After a rat was found loitering on its drive-thru counter, a fast food restaurant here was ordered closed for 14 days by the authorities.

The closure notice was issued by the Klang District Health Office after it inspected the restaurant.

The restaurant was ordered to be closed from Feb 8 to 21, per Section 11 of the Food Act 1983 as the premises were found to be unsanitary and posed a danger to public health.

The video of a rat loitering on the drive-thru counter and closure order notice had gone viral on the social media platform over the past few days.
