Haze: Cheras' air quality remains unhealthy

KUALA LUMPUR: The Air Pollutant Index (API) reading in Cheras remains at an unhealthy 126 at 4pm today.

Another area that reported unhealthy air quality is Seberang Jaya in Penang with an API reading of 143.

Two areas in the state have almost reached an unhealthy reading, namely, Seberang Perai at 95, and Minden at 97.

Other areas that previously recorded unhealthy air readings have logged moderate readings, namely, Segamat at 97, Tanah Merah at 87 and Kota Baru at 93.

An API reading between 0 and 50 is categorised as "good", 51 to 100 is "moderate", 101 to 200 is "unhealthy", 201 to 300 is "very unhealthy" and 300 and above considered "hazardous".
