KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a warning that thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to begin tomorrow in the northern belt of Peninsula Malaysia.
In a brief statement today, it said that the westerly winds were expected to hit the northerns states including its waters.
"Based on weather model analysis, strong westerly winds are expected to prevail over the northern regions of Peninsular Malaysia from Sept 23 until 25, 2023.
"This situation may potentially lead to thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds lasting for an extended period in the northern states of Peninsular Malaysia, including their maritime areas," it said.
