KUALA LUMPUR: A female cat had to endure severe pain when its paws were stuck in a sink drain hole at a house in Rawang today.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a stress call of the cat's alarming situation around 4.20pm and quickly arrived at the scene to rescue the feline.
The cat was seen helplessly sitting inside the sink and the rescuers had to use special tools to free her. Blood could be seen at her feet after she was rescued.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department rescue operations division assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the incident happened when the cat owner was bathing her inside the sink.
"It took us around 10 minutes to rescue the cat and we have handed her over to the owner," he said when contacted.
