Anwar welcomes Muhyiddin's resignation

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has welcomed the decision by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to step down as the prime minister.

The Port Dickson Member of Parliament said Muhyiddin's decision will pave the way for changes in the country.

He also recorded his appreciation for the contribution made by Muhyiddin to the nation.

"I would like to also urge all parties to remain calm and pray that Malaysia will rise and return stronger in battling the economic and health crises unleashed by the Covid-19 pandemic," he said in a short statement that was shared on his Facebook account.
