BN urged to use aggressive strategy to woo fence-sitters

PENAMPANG: Barisan Nasional should employ a more aggressive strategy to court fence-sitters in the run-up to the 15th General Election, says the Umno secretary-general.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said fence-sitter numbers are two times more than "black or white" voters — those who have already made up their minds.

"About a quarter of voters support us, a quarter support them (opposition parties), whereas the other half are fence-sitters that we refer to as grey voters.

"There are many grey voters watching us, wanting to know what the other party is doing. They can go where they want.

"Therefore, we need to be more aggressive. BN needs to approach them (grey voters) by various means such as social media and non-governmental organisations," he told a press conference in conjunction with Sabah BN Convention 2022 at ITCC, here, today.
