Pas proposes special parliamentary sitting on cost of living

KUALA LUMPUR: Pas has proposed that Parliament hold a special session to discuss the rising price of goods and cost of living.

Party information chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin said the sitting was one of three proposals from Pas to address the issue.

"The government can also target groups to give monthly credits.

"And discussions should be held with government and opposition leaders to address this issue," he said in a tweet.

The government has projected to spend a record RM77.3 billion on subsidies this year.

The subsidies cover petrol, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas, cooking oil, flour and electricity.
