Muhyiddin: Bersatu won't work with PH in GE15

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has decided not to engage in any political cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH) to face the 15th General Election (GE15).

Its president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, said the party also took note on the decision made by the PH presidential council against working with Bersatu for the polls.

"Bersatu is ready to face a multi-cornered race in GE15, which will see Perikatan Nasional going against Barisan Nasional, PH and other political parties," he said today.

Muhyiddin, who is PN chairman, said Bersatu would continue to strengthen its cooperation with Pas, Gerakan, Sabah Progressive Party and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku Sabah as a coalition represented by people from different races.

"We are offering a leadership that is free from corruption, efficient and concerned about the wellbeing of the people," he said.

The PH presidential council recently announced that the opposition front would not work with Bersatu for GE15.

DAP national chairman Lim Guan Eng had said that the PH presidential council saw Muhyiddin as the main "traitor" behind the Sheraton Move that toppled the PH government in February 2020.
