KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan nominee for the Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary constituency, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail was the first candidate to arrive at the Bandar Tun Razak nomination centre.
She arrived at Institut Latihan DBKL (IDB), Jalan Yaacob Latif at 8.43am.
Dr Wan Azizah is expected to face former PKR man and incumbent MP, Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar and Barisan Nasional's Datuk Chew Yin Keen.
In the last election, she won the Pandan parliamentary constituency and secured a total of 64,733 votes in a five-cornered fight.
This time around, she paved the way for PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli to stand in Pandan, the latter's seat from 2013 to 2018.
Meanwhile in PUTRAJAYA, Bersatu vice-president Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin is the first candidate to arrive at Precinct 9 Putrajaya nomination centre.
The Perikatan Nasional candidate will be contesting the Putrajaya parliamentary seat in an expected four-cornered fight against incumbent Barisan Nasional's Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Pakatan Harapan's Dr Noraishah Mydin and Gerakan Tanah Air's Datuk Ramli Rosli in the 15th general election (GE15).
The caretaker senior education minister arrived at the centre at 8.05am.
