KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin met with Sarawak premier, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg this morning to discuss matters related to the formation of the federal government.
Muhyiddin, in a Facebook post, said the meeting included Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.
"Discussions are also being held with other like-minded parties and independent members of parliament.
"InsyaAllah, the federal government will be formed in the nearest time," said Muhyiddin.
Muhyiddin had last night hinted at the potential formation of a coalition government to take over Putrajaya.
However, PN, he said would never sit at the same table with Pakatan Harapan.
He did not rule out the possibility of PN collaborating with BN and political parties from Sabah and Sarawak to form a federal government, which he assured would be stable and clean.
