PUTRAJAYA: The announcement of the cabinet lineup of the country's first unity government has been postponed to 8.15pm tonight.
The delay of the announcement of the cabinet line-up by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was confirmed by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
Anwar, who is Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman and PKR president, also took to his Facebook to announce that he will unveil his lineup at 8.15pm.
"InsyaAllah. I will announce the cabinet lineup of the Kerajaan Perpaduan at 8.15pm tonight," the Tambun member of parliament said in his social media posting.
It was reported that Anwar was supposed to unveil his lineup at 5pm today.
The announcement would end days of speculation on the composition of the cabinet for the unity government comprising PH, Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and other partners to the federal administration.
