PBM removes Zuraida, 10 others

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has sacked Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin and 10 others for failure to respond to show cause letters issued to them earlier this month.

The decision, according to a FMT report, was made by the party's disciplinary committee. The show-cause letters were sent following their failure to attend a party meeting recently.

Apart from the former Ampang MP, the other leaders sacked were vice president Dr Sathiskumar, vice president 1 Rahimah Majid, vice president 3 Muhammad Saiful Bahari Sahari, party secretary-general Nor Hizwan Ahmad, Information chief Zakaria Abdul Hamid and Youth chief Na'im Brundage.

Four Supreme Council members sacked were Abd Aziz Ab Kadir, Zakaria Abdul Rahim, Roger Tan Seng Huat and Albakri Salim.

However, based on the FMT report, Haniza Mohamed Talha and Dr Daroyah Alwi were not sacked but removed as party deputy president 1 and Women's chief respectively.

On Oct 28, PBM president Larry Sng announced the suspension of Zuraida and 12 other supreme council members after they were alleged to have caused disturbance within the party and its leadership.

Previously, the PBM internal fights made headlines when Sng said he was still party president and had never vacated the position for Zuraida to replace him.
