PN's desire to shake up Penang is just wishful thinking, says Guan Eng [NSTTV]

GEORGETOWN Arau Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim's confidence that Perikatan Nasional (PN) can 'shake up' Penang is merely wishful thinking.

DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng described the former Perlis menteri besar's remarks as akin to the Malay proverb - 'biarlah si luncai terjun dengan labu-labunya'.

"Let it be... if he wants to (shake up Penang) leave him to be with his dreams," he said when met by reporters at the Penang DAP Chinese New Year Open House here yesterday evening.

On Wednesday, Shahidan in a video clip on his Facebook page said PN has a strategy to capture Negri Sembilan and Selangor, besides having the confidence that it can 'shake up' Penang.

Meanwhile, Lim said DAP has not held any discussions with Barisan Nasional (BN) regarding seat allocation in the upcoming state election.

"As for the discussion (seat distribution), we will not reveal it. I think we will announce it," he said simply.

Last Monday, Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said there was no obstacle for state-level leaders from the pact to hold discussions regarding the division of seats between PH and Barisan Nasional (BN).

The Prime Minister who is also the PKR president had explained that so far there has been no official discussion regarding the matter in preparation for the upcoming state polls.
