Muhyiddin: People have given failing marks to unity government [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has described the current ruling unity government as 'strange bed fellows' who were not united.

"They sleep on the same bed but they're not dreaming the same dream," he said during his presidential speech at the Bersatu annual-general meeting today.

Instead of being united, he said, they were arguing with each other and showed no measure of unity.

He said although the current government holds more than two thirds of parliament, they were not that strong as a survey also found that not a single minister of this current government had scored above 50 per cent, including the prime minister.

"This means that within a short period of time, the people have given failing marks to the government.. we are not the ones who said they failed but it is the people that said this.

"Perhaps their biggest success so far has been prosecuting me in court. That's it. Others, nothing.

"If this is how the prime minister and ministers manage the country, I am sure this coalition government will maintain the failing grade and when it is time for the 16th General Election, they will be 'drop-outs'," he said.

He added that this year's state elections will witness the mass rejection of the Malays against the Barisan National and Pakatan Harapan coalitions as they have wasted the mandate of the people.
