'Anwar would have flown to Sabah if Sabah PKR in crisis'

KOTA KINABALU: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would have flown to Sabah if there was a crisis in Sabah PKR.

Sabah PKR state leadership council member Sazalye Donol said it was undeniable that there was disagreement among party members.

"In any party, there will always be controversies. PKR is democratic and members are free to speak.

"But there is no disunity. Otherwise, the party president would have come here.

"In principle, we support the Sabah chairman (Datuk Sangkar Rasam). Until there is a change in the chairman, we will follow what he says," he said at a press conference here.

Earlier, Sazalye said although Sangkar announced that PKR intended to contest 25 out of 73 seats in the next state election, the final say should come from Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Anwar.

Sazalye said there has been no meeting with GRS about seat allocations.
