KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian women's doubles Pearly Tan-M.Thinaah bagged their maiden World Tour title on Sunday, when they won the Swiss Open in Basel.
In the final, the national No 2, who were only paired up in mid-2019, defeated Bulgarian sisters, Gabriela-Stefani Stoeva 21-19, 21-12.
A day earlier, Pearly-Thinaah had upstaged their senior teammates and World No 10 Chow Mei Kuan-Lee Meng Yean in the semi-finals.
Pearly-Thinaah pocketed US$11,060 (about RM45,000) for their efforts, while their Bulgarian opponents settled for US$5,320 (about RM22,000).
Pearly-Thinaah will next compete in the All England in Birmingham on March 17-22.
