Pearly-Thinaah storm into Indonesia Masters semis

MALAYSIA'S top women's doubles Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah just keep getting better and better.

The world No 10 are in the form of their lives after reaching their second semi-finals in as many Super 500 tournaments at the Indonesia Masters yesterday.

Pearly-Thinaah, who were the Thailand Open semi-finalists last month, overpowered Thailand's World No 8 awinda Prajongjai-Jongkolphan Kittitharakul 21-11, 21-16 at the Istora Senayan yesterday.

The win kept the Malaysians' 100% record against Rawinda-Jongkolphan intact after four meetings.

Having made it this far, Pearly-Thinaah now bid to reach their second World Tour final since their Swiss Open triumph last year.

But a tricky encounter awaits them when they take on high-flying Indonesians Apriyani Rahayu-Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

The Indonesians showed their quality by ousting second seeds Lee So Hee-Shin Sheung Chan of South Korea 15-21, 21-16, 21-16 in the other quarter-final clash of the day.
