Aiman is king of the road

HANOI: Rider Nur Aiman Zariff won Malaysia's 37th Sea Games gold medal in the men's individual road race today.

Aiman emerged victorious in a time of three hours, 48 minutes and 22 seconds in the 162.2km race at Hoa Binh.

He outsprinted three other riders who were in the same breakaway group with him.

Indonesia's Aiman Cahyadi and Thailand's Navuti Liphongyu claimed the silver and the bronze respectively. Singapore's Yeo Boon Kiak, the other rider in the breakaway group, came in fourth.

Aiman was well supported by teammates Nur Amirull Fakhruddin Mazuki, Nur Aiman Rosli, Akmal Hakim Zakaria and Zawawi Azman during the race.
