Two Kedah players test positive for Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR: The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the M-League.

Two Kedah players were tested positive for Covid-19 today, and as a result, their Super League match against Penang at the Darulaman Stadium on Saturday has been postponed.

The Malaysian Football League (MFL) confirmed that the match has been postponed due to the two Covid cases recorded in the Kedah team.

MFL chief executive officer Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan said the Northern derby was postponed after consulting the Kedah Health Department.

"We were informed by Kedah about the positive cases. The players were tested before returning to camp from their short break. Both players were not with the team when they tested positive."

The MFL will announce a new date for the match soon.

The M-League resumes on Saturday.
