Two Premier League matches fall victim to Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR: The M-League has been hit by Covid-19 a day before its official kick-off.

The Malaysian Football League (MFL), in a statement today, confirmed that two Premier League matches, scheduled on Friday and Monday, have been called off due to Covid issues.

Tomorrow's match between Selangor FC II and FAM-NSC Project Squad has been called off as the players and coaches of the latter are either Covid-19 positive or were in close contact.

Monday's game between Police and Kuching City will not take place as well,

The MFL received a request from Police to postpone their match as 14 players and one coach either tested positive or were in close contact.

"The entire FAM-NSC Project team are affected by Covid-19. A team can request for a match postponement if 50 per cent or more of their squad members have Covid-related issues," said MFL CEO Stuart Ramalingam.
