KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah are confident they can reach the knockout stage of the AFC Cup following Monday's 4-1 win over Kaya FC of the Philippines in a Group G match in Bali.

Kedah will next face Visakha of Cambodia on Thursday with the top spot still within their grasp, while Kaya take on hosts Bali.

Aidil said the group is now wide open.

"Every team has a chance in the group to advance to the next round," he said after the match.

"Credit goes to the players for their hard work and positive attitude against Kaya. We will focus on recovery and prepare for the next match."

Meanwhile, Kedah forward Ngah said: "We responded well today (Monday) after losing our opening game to Bali.

"Losing is part of the game. However, we showed character and desire in this match.

"I believe we can advance to the next stage if we continue this momentum against the Cambodian club," said Ngah.
