JDT III crowned President's Cup champions

KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Tazim (JDT) III defeated Sri Pahang 4-2 on aggregate to win the Presidents Cup following a 2-0 win in the final return leg at Temerloh Stadium today.

Javier Jorda Riberas side took the lead in the 45th minute when Syukur Fariz Januri outwitted three Sri Pahang defenders to score the opening goal.

The visitors added their second goal in the 86th minute through Najmudin Akmal Kamal Akmal.

It is JDT III's first triumph in the competition since its rebranding in 2013.
