Luqman gets two minutes of action in Belgian First Division A

KUALA LUMPUR: Forward Luqman Hakim Shamsudin finally made his first senior appearance of the season for KV Kortrijk in the Belgian First Division A.

The 20-year-old, a Harimau Malaya forward, came on as an 88th-minute substitute for forward Felipe Avenatti against Westerlo on Saturday.

With just two minutes left on the clock, Luqman could do little to help Kortrijk with Westerlo taking all three points with a 2-0 win, courtesy of goals from Nicolas Madsen (48th minute) and Nene Dorgeles (83rd).

Kortrijk are bottom of the 18-team table with 11 points.

Luqman, who is on a five-year contract with the Belgian side, made his first senior appearance for Kortrijk on Oct 24 2020 against Anderlecht after coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute.
