Josue granted Malaysian citizenship, scores a brace for KL City

KUALA LUMPUR: KL City captain Paulo Josue celebrated in style by scoring a brace after being granted Malaysian citizenship in the 2-2 draw with 10-man Penang in a Super League match at KLFA Stadium here today.

Josue, who was granted citizenship on Thursday, scored in the 14th and 71st minutes.

Penang's A. Namathevan was sent off in the 57th minute, but they still managed to bounce back for a point.

Hadin Azman (73rd) and Gomes Giovane (85th) replied for Penang.

Sabah, meanwhile, thrashed Police 4-0 at Likas Stadium.

Saddil Ramdani (13th and 71st), Park Tae Su (38th) and Stuart Wilkin (90th) were the scorers.

In Kota Baru, Kelantan were edged 2-1 by Kuching City.

Sudi Abdallah (59th) and Abu Kamara (72nd) were on target for Kuching, while Kelantan replied through Miguel Angel Cifuentes (52nd).

Meanwhile, Kedah defeated Perak 4-1 in Ipoh.

The Bos Gaurus took an early lead in the third minute through Ikhwan Hafizo before Lee Tuck (17th), Willian Lira (66th), Ariff Farhan Isa (84th) and Jonathan Balotelli (90th) sealed all three points for the Red Eagles.
