KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor FC will part ways with their Uzbek defender Umarbek Eshmurodov this month, less than a year after signing him.

"Umarbek was our first foreign player for the season, and we are proud to have been his first overseas club. His passion and dedication to the Red and Yellow jersey have been commendable," Selangor FC said in a statement.

The 26-year-old Eshmurodov featured in a total of 18 matches in the Super League, FA Cup, Malaysia Cup, Challenge Cup and AFC Champions League 2. He contributed one goal and one assist.
